Loan periods:
28 days; normal loan
14 days; magazines, games, CD-roms
7 days; CD-records, videotapes, DVDs, weekly loans
Library card
You can have a library
card after verifying your identity. Customers under 15 years are
required a consent from their parents.
The card is for personal use only and must be presented each time you
borrow.
You must inform the library at any changes in your personal name and/or
address, or if your card gets lost.
The card-holder (or parents of a customer under 15 years) is
responsible for all the material borrowed with the card.
You can lose your right to borrow if:
You don´t return your
loans in time
Your unpaid payments exceed 5 euros
You can regain your right
to borrow by returning the materials on loan and settling all your
payments.
Renewal
Loans can be renewd in the
library or by telephone (016-258253 or 016-258264) or in the
Internet.
Reservations
You can make reservations
on materials that are on loan.
Interlibrary service
If we don´t have the
material that you need, we can borrow it for you from other libraries
in Finland.
Information retrievals
are performed on request
at Information Service point and in Music- and Children´s departments
Reference libraries
in all departments (Lending,
Music, Children, Veitsiluoto)
Reading room

foreign) newspapers and magazines, telephone books
Online newspapers Read your
local newspapers in our reading room. We have a new service called
PressDisplay, just for reading online newspapers from all over the
world. You can have access to 500 newspapers from 70 countries in 37
different languages.
